The Book Barn

Yesterday I finally got over to The Book Barn, a little Connecticut gem I've been hearing about for a while.

The charming combination of indoor and outdoor spaces—complete with a playground, gardens, and a little family of goats—provide the perfect spot for roaming and browsing the spot's collection of over 500,000 books, all available at amazing bargain prices.

Personality abounds in all of the decor and signage, rewarding those who stop and take the time to look around and take it all in.

One of the many hand painted elements around the grounds, this fun photo-op celebrates the actual goats that call The Book Barn home.

My personal haul—each of these was only $1.
